THE BATTLE OF LOUISBOURG
Dylan Devoe takes us back to 1758, the fall of the French colonial era in Atlantic Canada. Immediately, the tone is set and an atmosphere is created by the tolling of the bell and army marching into battle. The guitar kicks things off with a celtic style blues lick, followed by a pounding floor tom. The lyrics bring you right onto the battlefield, painting a picture of the soldiers that led the siege, “A fleet of 100 battleships and 40 men-of-war, as they overcame the Battery and took the Fortress by storm”.
